This paricular model was cased and timed in the USA to Weems and Lindbergh’s pilot’s watch built around Philip Van Horn Weems’ U.S.-patented rotating bezel “second-setting” system—one of the earliest wristwatches created to help aviators sync precisely to radio time. Available in our shop. A mobilization-era design with dual crowns, rotating minutes bezel and clear Arabic numerals — exactly the kind of practical tool watch Longines delivered for the U.S. market in the 1940s. Dating is based on the Longines cal. 10L movement number in the mid-6.7m range and the U.S.-made AG 10K gold-filled case signed 'Cased and Timed in U.S.A. by Longines.'
